Tokyo, Japan – nokia announced the opening of its new Advanced Technology Center (ATC) to test and demonstrate nokiaend-to-end portfolio of local 5G equipment, software and services. The center will now enable enterprises, communications service providers (CSPs) and infrastructure providers to learn and understand first-hand the vast potential of local 5G technology to unlock new value and better serve their customers. ATC will also offer Lab-as-a-Service (LaaS), ensuring easy access to state-of-the-art infrastructure and testing and validation services for devices, applications and solutions.
nokia acquired a Local 5G radio license from the Ministry of Interior and Communicationswhich allows it to demonstrate local 5G in the Tokyo, Roppongi Office. ATC will help nokia provide technical training for faster customer deployment.
The center will nokiacustomers and partners to jointly develop solutions, demonstrate use cases and conduct innovative research to test various applications using real equipment and simulate the real use environment to help them discover how the technology will work in a real scenario. LaaS will help businesses and CSPs accelerate time to market for new products and services.
nokia plans to further expand the 5G LAN at the Roppongi office workplace and create an environment where all employees can use the 5G LAN in the office.
Established in 2017 as nokiathe flagship advanced technology center of Japan, ATC assisted CSPs in testing and conducting 5G demonstrations. The modernized center will now take advantage nokiaend-to-end 5G products to enable local 5G demonstrations, integration testing, and interconnect testing with third-party application partners in the vertical segment.
