Moose Toys Partners with WildBrain and Nickelodeon for Brand New “Akedo” Franchise



Moose Toys to deliver the launch of Akedo – Ultimate Arcade Warriors, the first brand to combine realistic combat figures on a micro-collectable scale. Akedo marks the boys toy maker’s biggest launch to date and will be supported by a large-scale marketing campaign.

The campaign kicks off with the release of a trailer for an all-new animated series, produced in partnership with WildBrain’s premium children’s and family AVOD network, WildBrain Spark. In addition, the leading agency WildBrain CPLG will manage the licensing program.

The trailer for the action-packed series can be viewed on MooseTube Mania’s YouTube channel, a mini-movie will premiere on July 2, and full episodes will air shortly thereafter. Episodes can also be viewed on Amazon Prime Video Direct.

Nickelodeon, with The Akedo Super Ultimate Ultimate Tournament, a branded programming video featuring an exclusive bracket-style tournament that fans can watch on Nickelodeon’s YouTube channel, is the third punch in the unprecedented marketing effort of the toy maker.

Derived from the Japanese word for arcade, Akedo has a retro game look and combines it with kids battling one-on-one with 39 unique warriors, including ninjas, robots, gladiators, and Vikings, alongside teddy bears, a dinosaur and clowns, using their skills and strategy to achieve victory over equipped opponents.

For the ultimate fighting experience, players can go head-to-head in the retro-style ’90s-style Ultimate Battle Arena, a playset that emulates an old-fashioned arcade game with its own theme song. Adding excitement and a bit of humor to the battles, the arena plays over 35 real battle sound effects.

Hosted by YouTuber Nathan of Unspeakable, the contest will stream live on Nickelodeon’s YouTube channel on August 15, before moving on to Moose’s MooseTube Mania channel on August 21.

Akedo will launch on Walmart.com and Amazon in July and in stores at all major retailers in August.
