Jesse Lingard: Manchester United striker’s representatives discuss Nice loan | Football news

Representatives for Jesse Lingard have had initial talks with Nice over a loan transfer, with a formal approach expected next week.

Manchester United have yet to decide whether to allow Lingard to leave in this transfer window. His current contract runs until summer 2022.

The 27-year-old started United’s FA Cup win over Watford Saturday but has not started a Premier League game in over a year.

Lingard’s only other appearances this season have been in the EFL Cup. He started the third round victory over Luton and was then brought to the end of the fourth round victory over Brighton.
