Boston Bruins go for a fairytale Halloween

It’s a tradition every season for the Boston Bruins to dress up for Halloween and interact with young B fans, and this year it was the same. This time it was a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs theme with rookie goalie Jeremy Swayman receiving the ‘Snow White’ honors.

Here is the recap of the Bruins players who were dressed: Charlie McAvoy as “Doc”, Jeremy Swayman as “Snow White”, Charlie Coyle as “Sleepy”, Nick Foligno as “Happy”, Brandon Carlo as “Grumpy”, Karson Kuhlman as “Dopey”, Mike Reilly in “Sneezy”, Connor Clifton in “Bashful” and Derek Forbort in “The Evil Queen”.

For a guy like Nick Foligno, who had a personal experience with one of his children being treated at Boston Children’s Hospital, this was something he wouldn’t have missed.

“I have been on the other side as a parent,” Foligno said. “That little moment, where you can change a child’s day when they are going through something so difficult, is so rewarding to see as a parent. I think (the team), we get a reward for that as well, so it’s a win-win, and it’s really fun for us.

The Boston Bruins are completely off Monday, so it looks like the players could have gone out and enjoyed their own team’s Halloween party this weekend as well. Hope everyone had a safe, candy-filled Halloween!

It’s crazy that it’s been a decade since this happened. (ESPN.com)

* And in the spirit of Halloween, a beautiful tribute to the masked men of hockey.

* For something completely different: Steve Buscemi wins Halloween this year after dressing up as the most popular meme he’s involved with.
