Jollat: AWS made easy

A desktop client for Amazon Web Service management. This is a cross-platform, but not a Java app. 66 USD. All I want is some reviews, a more intuitive app icon and coupon code.

Jollat is a cross-platform graphical client for Amazon Web Services (AWS). It let’s you manage Simple Storage Service (S3) and Elastic Compute Clouds (EC2) on the Mac, Windows or Linux. The services are integrated into an easy-to-use GUI, enabling you to do complicated tasks with the simple click of a button.

If you don’t have the budget, Elasticfox, a Firefox addon, may be for you.

Update: A demo video is available.

Selection is Everything

What we want to get seems easily available, but we still can’t find the efficient way to get them. We often don’t even know what we really need right now.

Some musings from yours truly.

Where I am

I have the accounts at:

Clicky: Web Analytics

This was new to me. See the comparison table. Ability to track individual users is something I want, which may help identifying navigation/layout problems.

Any anecdotal comments are welcomed.

Wakoopa Offers an API

Wakoopa, a social software tracking website, now offers the API. The formats of choice are XML and JSON.

I love the software the team use.

Recycling Amazon Cardboxes

We should have an option to ask the delivery guy to take the boxes after the recipient opened the box and taking the products. After some purchases at Amazon, my room is filled with Amazon cardboxes.

I learned that peeling the labels that have private information on the box is not troublesome at all. But I still can’t find anyway to use them.

iTunesRails

iTunesRails:

This project provides a web interface to the iTunes application running on the same machine. iTunesRails was designed to provide an easy way for people sharing a work space and local computer network to control a common iTunes instance and shared music collection. It might also be used for events and parties. The mission of iTunesRails is to help make music-playing a more social and collaborative experience.
