SoraMoyo: Weather Widget for Japan

Mac OS X Tiger comes with a weather widget covering all over the world. However, the problem is the widget doesn’t show as acurate results as local weather organizations offer. This holds true in Japan, too.

SoraMoyo is a Dashboard widget specifically desined to show weather information in Japan. You can specify up to 4 locations in a widget and change locations by pressing 1, 2, 3 and 4 keys. The fuction really saves your desktop reale state. The widget also offers two views: one is 3-day forecast and the other is 7-day one. The entire widget is locallzed into both Japanese and English. No problems with those who can’t understand English well.

Go and get a copy, and try it. It’s avaiable for free.

Tip: If you’d like to use it in English, remove a folder “Japanese.lproj” in the package. To open the package, right-click (or Control-Click) the widget itself. You will see “Show Package Contents”. Yup, a widget is just like a folder. Same with apps. Open up applications, and explorer what’s inside.
